Historic Luxury Boutique

Palacio Solecio, a Small Luxury Hotel of the World, is an 18th-century palace in Málaga's Old Town. The hotel retains original architectural details like marble pillars, wrought-iron balconies, and beamed ceilings. Rooms feature soundproof walls, flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, minibars stocked with local products, and marble bathrooms with rainfall showers. Some rooms offer city views.

Michelin-Starred Dining

Balausta, the hotel's restaurant, is led by Michelin-starred chef José Carlos García. The menu highlights Andalusian recipes using local produce. The restaurant occupies a courtyard with whitewashed arches, rustic esparto-grass curtains, and paintings by local artists. Breakfast, aperitifs, lunches, and dinners are served under a glass-domed roof.

Events & Leisure

The hotel has three event spaces for up to 60 guests, equipped with the latest technology. The light-flooded main patio serves as a hub with a cocktail bar specializing in Spanish wines and sherries. A small gym is available, along with booklets detailing the palace's history.

Central Old Town Location

The hotel is steps from Malaga Cathedral (0.3 km), Museo Picasso Malaga (0.5 km), and the Alcazaba fortress (0.5 km). The Mercado Central de Atarazanas is 1 km away. The English Cemetery and Castillo de Gibralfaro are within 1 km.

Guest Services

The hotel offers a 24-hour front desk, room service, and free Wi-Fi. Newspapers are available in the lobby. The staff provides insights into the building's history. Cleaning protocols follow rigorous sanitation standards.

“This meticulously restored historic building sits in the heart of Malaga, offering refined accommodations. I'm particularly drawn to the Michelin-starred dining, delivering innovative Andalusian cuisine. The rooftop pool provides a serene escape with impressive city views-an ideal complement to its central location.”

empty courtyard disappointing room
The location met my needs. It was very central.
The room I booked was not excellent at all. The windows faced an empty courtyard. It was like I was cheated. I've come to expect more from small hotels.

The room size was smaller than expected. there was no view, described as a courtyard however it was more like a metal lift shaft. everything in the hotel was overpriced. I would have hoped for better value for the money spent
